Featuring a 15″ lower bout, 1 5/8″ depth, and hand-carved solid wood construction, the I-35 is a unique modern tribute to the heritage of the double cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar. The I-35’s design pairs a mahogany back and sides with a maple center block for a tonal response that is complex and quick with an “airy” character. The I-35’s top carve includes high arches and ample re-curve, allowing the best qualities of the solid wood to shine through in its amplified tone. An instrument that is at home in almost any genre, the Collings I-35 has quickly become one of our most popular electric models.

The I-35 Deluxe combines our most premium features with the rich and harmonically complex sound of all solid wood construction. As part of its trim package, the dark textures of the I-35 Deluxe’s rosewood fingerboard and ebony faceplate are highlighted by ivoroid fingerboard and peghead binding. Each Deluxe series guitar is also fitted with ivoroid “top hat” knobs, pickup rings, and matching truss rod cover that are hand made in house solely for our Deluxe-level instruments. Uncompromising in every feature, the I-35 Deluxe is built for the discerning electric guitarist.
